Our story

A group of ophthalmologists
A group of teaching ophthalmologists, aware of the shortage of specialized products in the ophthalmic therapeutic arsenal and long committed to research, founded Oftalmoquímica S.A. Their ideas gave rise to medicines for diagnosing eye diseases and for performing complex ophthalmic surgical procedures.
- Compounding line
Products new to Colombia
Some time later we introduced our compounding line, based on products new to the Colombian market and on novel combinations for topical ocular use. All these drugs were presented at major medical congresses and published in scientific journals.
- Veterinary line
The same science, for pets
We launched our veterinary ophthalmic line, aimed especially at small pets, with products that have proven their efficacy in human eyes for years.
- Andean region
Born in Colombia
We have always had the support of medical professionals across the Andean region: today our products are used in Ecuador and Bolivia, and soon in Peru and Central America.
Aware that a segment of the ophthalmic pharmacopoeia lacks indispensable products, we seek to research, develop and produce the drugs that support eye care professionals in the specialized care of their patients.
